*Water Activities
Lots of hoseing, swimming pool and water play as it was so hot.
*Blocks/Construction/etc
More knocking over of everyone else's towers. William loves it.
*Painting/Finger-painting
Always willing to gave a go. Loves getting himself covered in paint.
*Sand Play
Loved using the broom to sweep the sand away - wouldn't hand it over at clean up time!
*Climbing/Balancing/Sliding activities
William played "peek a boo" on the fort today. Stuck his head through the port holes in the tunnel.
*Mat Time participation/experiences
Was really focused for about five minutes the started wandering. This is about right for his age!
*Others
William slept from 12.55 - 2.10 today.
*Work sheet/scrapbook focus
William slept through this time today.

Belonging - William is settling well.

*Music/Dance & Movement
Currant buns in the bakers shop was the song today.
*Water Activities
Loved cooling off in the water puddles and under the hose.
*Painting/Finger-painting
Loved the paint today and the chalk and felt pens.
*Manipulative/Puzzles/Games
Loves the challenge of the "hard" puzzles and always asks for help. Well done.
*Sand Play
William found out all about mud pies today. Did he have fun?
*Wheeled ride on vehicles
Is gaining confidence on all our bikes - even tries to ride the big one.
*Mat Time participation/experiences
William is becoming more used to sitting still during mat-time.
*Others
Sleep - didn't have one today. Was put to bed but only rested.
*Work sheet/scrapbook focus
More work on the colour red - getting William to identify red.

Communication - letting people know what he wants.

*Dough
William helped in the mixing and kneading of new play dough. Thank you William!
*Music/Dance & Movement
We only had the "Wiggles" tape on today but William still sang Bob the Builder to it!!!
*Water Activities
William loves water and will keep on going back to it no matter how many times I change him.
*Blocks/Construction/etc
Worked with a group of children to put together the wooden road way. Well done William. Great co-opt play.
*Books & Storytelling
William is choosing books for me to read. Will follow mw around with the book, waving it at me!
*Painting/Finger-painting
William loves paint. It means he can get his hands dirty and go to wash them. William "loves" washing.
*Sand Play
William is exploring more in the sand pit. Is mixing water with the sand to make mud. Jumps in the the puddles.
*Wheeled ride on vehicles
Is really confident on the three wheelers now. A little speed demon.
*Mat Time participation/experiences
William is developing a sustained attention period and is settling into mat-time better. Awesome!!
*Work sheet/scrapbook focus
Colours and more colours - getting William to look for the colour red. He is doing well. Found the red felt and the crayon.
