Weekending 29 July 2005
*Art & Craft Activities
Using natural resources this week. Shells, sawdust, leaves, etc.
*Dough
Mixing and making play dough. William loves stirring.
*Music/Dance & Movement
William joined in the Birdie Dance.
*Books & Storytelling
Thomas book is the favourite. William will read it again and again.
*Sand play
Shovelling sand is hard work. A sleep needed after all this.
*Climbing/Balancing/Sliding Activities
Gaining more confidence all the time.
*Wheeled ride on vehicles
William loves the ride on motor bike. Is going really fast on it - trying to jump.
*Mat Time participation/experiences
William loves joining the other children in mat time.
*Others
Birthday party with lots of cake and lollies.

More circle work - worksheet using graduated circles.

Weekending 5 August 2005
*Water Activities
Always a favourite. William helped wash all the chairs.
*Swings n things
William worked hard at learning to swing the ball and hitting it with a bat - well done William.
*Blocks/Construction/etc
Great building and moving of all the blocks.
*Books & Storytelling
Thomas (a pop up story) was the favourite. Had trouble sharing this as well but a compromise was worked out.
*Painting/Finger-painting
Finger paint with sawdust in it was a different feeling.
*Sand play
Great team work digging holes with Danny. Well done.
Gaining more confidence all the time.
*Wheeled ride on vehicles
William loved the new tractor and trailer - smaller size just right for him - had a small problem sharing it.
*Others
Mystiques' 3rd birthday on Tuesday, Dakota's 3 rd birthday on Friday.

Starting work on squares - tapawha.

Weekending 12 August 2005
*Music/Dance & Movement
Loves Bob the Builder still.
*Water Activities
William really investigated this activity this week. Lots of wet clothes. Told us "Water is wet" and made ssss sounds.
*Carpentry/Construction
Used the saw to help cut down some dead branches. Worked really hard.
*Books & Storytelling
Thomas was favourite again.
*Painting/Finger-painting
Using different mediums to paint. Lux flakes mixed with warm water.
*Science/Exploration/Games
Bubbles - how, why and where do they go - we investigated all of this.
*Mat Time participation/experiences
William loves the singing and dancing in mat-time.
*Others
Tuesday asleep 2.00 - 4.10
Friday asleep 1.30 - 4.15

Screen printing this week. William is practising with scissors.
